What is Sepsis ransomware?
Sepsis ransomware encrypts data and demands compensation (Bitcoin, etc.) for decryption.
Encrypts all user data (documents, photos, Excel, videos, music, etc.). It then adds an encrypted extension to all files, making them unusable.
The original file is encrypted in the form of file name.extension.Sepsis so that it cannot be used. For example, an image file titled "photo2024.jpg" will be changed to "photo2024.jpg.SEPSIS". You can see that the Excel file called "info.xlsx" changes to "info.xlsx.SEPSIS", etc.
When the encryption process is completed, a ransom note called #16-character key.txt is left.
